Happy Tax Day!
Haven't done any updates in a while but I'm starting to get some new things
going in the studio. I've updated the songs available in the Media Center
so there'll be something different to listen to.

I've been toying around with an intro progression to a song for the last year and a
half. I finally got inspired to work on it last night some more. The song is
now titled Unwind and I laid down intro drum, bass, guitar, piano and organ
tracks.

Added a bridge to ...And I Will See You Next Time that gives a little bit of
energy to an otherwise slow, reflective song. I'm still planning on this song being
the last one on the new album, even though I have a lot of writing still to do before I
even think about sitting down for formal recording.
I also put together a jam in Reason that had some neat percussion and this cool
synthesized bell sound. It's not anything ground breaking, but I liked it and you can
listen to it in the Media Center,

After several weeks (months?) of negligable studio work I've made it back into the
studio the last couple of nights for a new round of composing. Last night I
replaced a synthesized sax line in Black Light with a guitar line. I had
been trying to consciously avoid using guitar over the last few months as a means
of fostering creativity, but I decided that the song needed a guitar.
I also started work on a new song tentatively titled Medoric Signals, which
takes its name partly from the town of Medora, ND where we vacationed in August
and also from the various pinging sound effects (signals) that are present in the
song.

I uploaded an MP3 of a jam session I had last night that I really enjoyed. You can
check it out in the Media Center; it's called
Monday Night Jam # 1... original, I know... :)

Welcome to my website!
A few of the pages are still under construction, so please check back often! I'll be posting
news and notes here quite frequently about things like new releases, upcoming gigs and
journal entries from the studio.
